Joël Froment
Joël Froment, born in 1938, received the Grand Prix of Rome in 1968 with Balthus as director. He has claimed the international current of concrete art while belonging to the movement MADI, created by the Argentine Arden Quin. Froment obtained several public commissions and exhibited in numerous international galleries as well as in the fairs of Basel and Fiac. His works consist of simple geometric shapes and a limited number of colors that elaborate an abstract language but a powerful emotional power, literally invading space.
